The Trade Wins Networking Reset

For years, I’ve walked into networking events with a mix of hope and dread. I want connection, but I don’t want to jump through hoops or perform. That pressure to be “on,” that subtle competition, that sense that you’re supposed to extract value rather than build relationships. It never sat right with me. And the more I paid attention, the more I realized something important: people are tired of how we’ve been told to connect in business.

Trade Wins Networking Reset is a response to a real emotional need I kept seeing in the room. I wanted to create a space where people could show up without armor, without performance, and without the pressure to prove themselves. A space where connection could feel organic instead of like a hustle.

The Reset is built on a simple belief: care is a skill, and when we practice it intentionally, it changes the way we relate to each other. Instead of rushing through introductions or trying to impress, we slow down. We listen. We let people arrive as they are. The structure is gentle on purpose and with a pacing that gives everyone room to breathe, reflect, and actually meet the people in front of them.

What makes the Trade Wins Networking Reset different is its clarity.

It’s the way the prompts guide people into honesty instead of performance.

It’s the way the format removes the pressure to “sell yourself.”

It’s the emotional safety impressed into every step.

It’s the understanding that connection is something we build, not something we extract.

And if I’m being honest, this Reset isn’t just about the people who attend. It’s also about me stepping into a new chapter of my own work. For a long time, I lived in the background as a supporting, organizing, managing, caring and often invisible role. But this project is me choosing to be visible. To lead. To design experiences that reflect what I believe about community, creativity, and care.

The Trade Wins Networking Reset is part of that evolution. It’s a small but meaningful expression of the founder I’m becoming. I’m someone who builds with intention, who values emotional clarity, and who believes that connection can be both gentle and powerful.

So stay tuned and if you live in the Toronto, Ontario area, consider coming out to the first Trade Wins Networking Reset, location and date are still being formalized.
