I began my career as an entertainer, chasing the elusive dream of fame and success as many of us young and foolish do. While the spotlight never quite landed on me the way I imagined, I discovered something far more valuable: how to read a room, how to bring joy and laughter and meaning, and how to understand what truly makes people happy.
Over time, I started creating small, meaningful gifts for people. You know, little tokens infused with that same learned insight I had honed on stage. They became cherished keepsakes. They were tools that improved the emotional quality of life for hundreds of people, many my friends, some just people I encountered and happened to have something on me. I saw them being kept, treasured, and used as anchors of comfort and happiness.
So, I wanted more people to experience these tactile little... artifacts, keepsakes? Yes, keepsakes. But I didn’t want to charge for them. That’s when the idea struck: branded giveaways. By partnering with companies, I could create emotionally resonant gifts that carried their brand while still serving as tools of care and connection. It was a way to scale generosity without putting a price tag on support and love.
As I attended networking meetings to gain more insight into the businesses I hoped to sell to, I often found them unprepared, uninspired, and lacking the fluidity of natural connection. Sitting in those rooms, I realized something: I shouldn’t just be attending these meetings, I should be running them!
Now, I’m stepping into a new role. Starting in January I will be hosting weekly networking meetings designed to encourage fluid natural connection. These gatherings will showcase my giveaways, but more importantly, they’ll connect people to new potential customers, collaborators, and friends. It’s all about weaving community through care, creativity, and exchange.
